The functional areas in two contrasting organisation


Regent College

LRC:
LRC is the library of the College for students. The LRC department is responsible for provide books and manage computers for students. So students could easily study and research about anything without any worry. LRC is responsible to keep all records of library books.

Students Services:
It is another department in Regent College, which is responsible for providing information to students for certain things. They keep all the personal details of students. They provide the timetable to students. They edit details of student if it is not entered correctly or need to be changed. They manage all data about students.

Exams Services:
They are responsible for organising exams for students. They manage every student exams date properly. They provide all the information about student seating plan, exams, date and time.

CIS:
Communication information services, they manage student’s personal issues. They manage if the student wants a leave from college. They provide all information about vacations, events, etc.

Subject Department:
Subject department provides service to students who have problems with their subjects. If any student wants to change his subject has to talk to this department.

Canteen: 
Canteen is another department of the college which provides services to students for their refreshment and food.

Admin:
Administration is the section which controls all other departments of the business. Their purpose is to take the business out of trouble and trading gainfully. They keep the backup of all the business’s transactions and data. They have full control over business and can take any action at any time.

Finance:
The finance department of a business takes responsibility for organizing the financial and accounting affairs. They record all the financial transactions of the business. The finance department will also be responsible for the technical details of how a business can raise finance, e.g. through loans, shares..

Marketing/Sales:
Marketing is the most important activity in a business because it has a direct effect on profitability. They deal with the customers to sell the goods. They keep the record all transactions related to sales.

Production:
This department is responsible for the supplying of goods to business. The department also has the responsibility for quality control and inspection. They are responsible for all works related to supplying of goods to business.

Human Resources:
 HR responsibilities include payroll, benefits, hiring, firing, and keeping up to date with state and federal tax laws. Human resource managers straightening the supply of skilled and qualified individuals and the skills of the current workforce, with the organizations ongoing and future business plans and requirements to maximize return on investment and secure future survival and success.
